Acts of Kindness
One gesture can change everything
Kindness. The quality of being friendly, generous and considerate. Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates clarity. Kindness in giving creates love.
If we go straight to the truth, the soul, we see that the soul is kindness. The soul is love. The soul is joy. So when you are in the act of kindness, it includes all of you. The body, the mind and the spirit. Kindness shifts energy instantly and the soul knows this. That is why kindness feels effortless because when you give from the soul, it takes no thought. It is pure truth and it always returns.
Kindness is healing. It is received without thought. The mind often wants to understand it, yet the soul already knows. One act of kindness can ripple across the world.
When I was in Arizona, this lesson came alive for me. Arizona is bigger than the entire UK, and I had no car. I was walking everywhere. Ten minutes in a car meant two hours on foot. It kept me local. I had been hibernating, staying focused. Still, I prayed for a car. I said it was time to start exploring. Two days later, a message came through.
Someone had watched one of my podcasts and left a review on Trustpilot: "Give me a call back. Make sure you mention the Soul Coach." I looked up the name and saw he was general manager of a Honda garage. Straight away, I knew. My soul felt it. I got excited like a little kid. Then the mind kicked in: "No way." I caught it. "Yes way. This is it. What you put out comes back."
I tried calling. No answer. The receptionist probably thought I was nuts. I ended up finding his email and reaching out. He replied. We got on the phone. He said he resonated with what I shared. We arranged to meet at a golf event nearby. I was not even a golf fan. We met and connected right away. Then he said, "I have sorted you a car."
We had just met. That act of kindness changed everything. After that, driving through Arizona, I felt a freedom that reminded me this one act of kindness. He said he resonated with my story and this emphasised the importance of sharing your truth
Wayne Dyer was one of the first voices I connected with on this path. I used to listen to him every night. Whatever came up in my day, I would find a clip. Stress, anxiety, healing, anything. Looking back, I would say he was my Soul Coach
He told a story that always stuck with me. His daughter was at a train station, and the person ahead of her paid for her ticket. Left a note: "The next persons ticket is covered. Have a great day." She was stunned. She told her dad. She told a friend. That friend, across the country, went to the supermarket and let a family go ahead in the queue. That family had been struggling. They had just moved and were thinking of leaving. The woman looked at her and said, "I prayed for a sign today. This is it. This is the kindest thing anyone has done for us here. We are going to stay."
The cashier overheard the whole thing. She smiled and said, “Thank you, that made my day too. That is the power of one act of kindness.
I tried it too. Just before moving to Brazil, I went to the post office. On the way, Waynes story came to mind. I left money to cover the next persons items. The next day, the woman behind the counter smiled. She said, "You should have seen their face. They almost cried."
You never know how far it goes. You might not see it, however this could change many lives around the world from that one moment. That moment becomes a teaching, a story and an inspiration to others.
Sometimes people are carrying fear. You feel it. They project it. What if you met them with kindness? No need to argue or correct them. You stay true. You observe. You give kindness. Their ego might block it in the moment. Still, the soul receives it. Later on this will eventually register with them and can influence future choices.
Kindness is easy. It can be in a look, in a small gesture, in a moment of listening. So set the intention each day: "Let me be the act of kindness today." It will come. You will know when it is the right moment, your soul will say, "This is it." Trust your gut feeling.
You can be the one who remembers what someone loves. You can pay attention to their story. Awareness sparks kindness. Kindness sparks souls.
Your goodwill gesture for the day.
