Every morning, you wake up as a soul borrowing a body. Every night, you return it bruised or blessed by the day. This is how to master both.
We live in a world where we are always seeking the next best healing strategy or chasing the next best magic potion. We chase complex fixes while ignoring the obvious, healing begins when the soul and body sync. That is the magic potion.
No matter what takes place in your day, you always do two things. You wake up. You go to sleep. In between we have sleep where our best healing commences. If we focused on how we prepare for sleep and how we start our day, it would influence everything else
Let us start with the end of the day. At night, when you fall asleep, the body takes over. The mind steps aside, and the body begins to do what it does best, heal with the soul. At night, your soul sets then becomes the knight, guarding the body as it goes into healing.
The body responds to our instructions and most people carry the entire days events into their sleep. Late night phone scrolling, work emails, petty arguments. These are all forms of instructions to the body
Now shift it. Become conscious. Speak to the body like it is your loyal companion because it is. Like a dog that waits for your cue, your body is listening. Flip the word dog and you have God. It is the same loyalty and will give you the best service.
So before you go to sleep, do this:
Recall your day. Walk back through the moments. From wake to now.
Acknowledge the highlights. What felt good? What brought joy or insight?
Address the ego. Where did you react? What do you want to shift?
Set the body. Say thank you. Offer appreciation. Give it something to carry into the night.
Then look in the mirror. Genuinely. Look at your body. When was the last time you did that? Look into your own eyes and say something clear, set instructions.
“Body, work your magic, do what you do best.”
It is instruction for the system.
Then rest. Let your soul drop into the body like light into water. Let God do what God does.
In the morning, everything flips. The soul rises first through the body, and then the mind. The mind has a choice to rise with the Sun/Soul
So before you grab your phone and scroll
Open your eyes. Smile. Stretch. Put your hands above your head and reach. Hello world I am Here.
Then set intention:
Call the day forward. Imagine how you want to feel.
What does your best self look like today?
Back to the mirror, give gratitude to your body for the nights work. Now is time for you take the reigns
The mind will listen to the soul. The body will reflect the mind. This is how you begin.
The difference is clear to see, and eventually that flow continues throughout the weeks and months that it becomes the norm for the body. The next step is introducing meditation which is where you can do all of these things within
So whatever your day holds, remember this: you get to simplify it all when you start and finish as the soul.
I encourage to write things down. Have a pen a journal nearby. Reflect at night. Set in the morning. Your body is always listening.
