In my last post I spoke about observing the ego and what happens when we begin to see the patterns that pull us away from truth.
Today I want to speak about what happens next.
Because as much as you can tell someone to be positive, come back to peace, let go of fear. Some people will still feel something in their body.
They will say: I hear what you are saying. I get it. And yet something is still stuck.
This is where sadness shows up.
And I want to say this clearly: Sadness is not ego. Sadness is the soul.
What I have seen in myself and in others is this: The mind tries to skip sadness. It wants to label it as something else. It turns sadness into irritation. It layers guilt, anger, judgment, shame, even rage on top of it.
Yet underneath it all was always sadness.
And when we allow that sadness to be felt, it moves. It flushes through the body and it clears. This is what I call a Soul Flush
I saw this clearly during a healing session. Music played. Energy moved. I relaxed and suddenly tears just poured out, it was like a rainstorm. I felt it so much and afterwards it brought peace.
That is when I realised: Sadness is soulful.
As men, we often stop ourselves from being sad. We tighten the jaw. We resist the tears. We think we have to be strong. Yet true strength is in that release.
Sadness does not mean weakness. It is the light inside the dark. It is the release before joy returns.
All that rage, anger, frustration? It builds up when sadness is held down.
The soul wants to feel it. The ego wants to act it out.
So this is the message: Do not fight the sadness. Do not label it with the mind. Just be in it. Let it come through.
Try this: Place a hand on your chest. Bring awareness to your breath and breathe into the ache. Let the sadness come up. To help flush it out, search for emotional piano music and play it softly. Allow the sound guide you deeper into the feeling. This also works well within a meditation.
Sadness clears the path, it moves the stuck parts and it provides you with some life changing insights.
Sadness leads to peace. And that peace is soul.
Let the sadness come.
For a visual that helps explain this: The mind works in duality, fear or love. The body is truth — love or sadness. If the feeling inside does not feel like stillness or love, see if you can meet it as sadness without labelling and judging.
Sadness is the release. And what comes after is peace.
When was the last time you let sadness move through you?
I read every message
